Over $400,000 Raised to Date a New Record

BELLEVUE, WA - Former federal prosecutor and King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn announced today that his campaign for Attorney General has raised more than $400,000 in less than five months.  This is a new record for Attorney General races in Washington State.  Dunn’s opponent has reported only $375,000 in nine months.

To put the 2012 Attorney General’s race in context, both Rob McKenna and Mark Sidran took eight months to raise over $400,000 in 2004.  McKenna didn’t reach that milestone until the end of April 2004 and Sidran not until the end of July.

“This level of support, fully one year from election day, is unprecedented in a Washington State Attorney General’s race,” said Dunn.  “The results show that our campaign has strong support across the state and that people are eager for new leadership in Olympia.”

In a major development, the Washington State Association of Realtors on Monday announced their support of Reagan Dunn giving the campaign its first major business endorsement.  Dunn also recently announced a number of key endorsements, including Yakima County Sheriff Ken Irwin, Yakima County Sheriff James Hagarty and Chelan County Prosecutor Gary Riesen.

“The Washington State Association of Realtors is a well respected business organization that endorses candidates from both parties and who demonstrates support for small business owners and a strong housing market.  It was extremely important to me to receive their endorsement, and it gives my campaign a real boost,” said Dunn.
